Driver of the Month December 2017

The last Driver of the Month of 2017 is Jacques from Washington, D.C.! Jacques told us all about the must-see destinations in this vibrant city.

Jacques is from Bainet, a small town in Haiti, but has called Washington, D.C. home for over a decade. He previously worked in the hospitality industry, before deciding to work as a professional driver full-time five years ago.

Washington, D.C. is a city with a lot of history, and Jacques says that that’s what makes the city so special: its status as the capital of the US, and the fact that it is the result of a compromise between Maryland and Virginia, both of whom donated land to create the capital.

Considering Washington, D.C.’s historical significance, it’s no surprise that Jacques recommends visitors see as many museums and monuments as possible, especially the National Archives, where the Declaration of Independence is held. After checking out the National Mall (the collection of museums, not a shopping center), Jacques says to head southwest to the Washington Harbor waterfront, where you can find some great restaurants, or join a dinner cruise on the Potomac River.

Jacques’ wealth of local knowledge and commitment to good service isn’t just appreciated by Blacklane. Here’s what a couple of Jacques passengers had to say:

“Amazing driver. Car was gorgeous and he was so prompt, helpful and professional. Just what I hope for every time! I love Blacklane!” – Barbara B.

“Jacques was wonderful, the ride was calm and relaxing even with the bit of traffic. Thank you!” – Megan D.

Once again, Jacques, thanks for the great work! Blacklane wouldn’t be the same without drivers like you!
