Steps to take before your ride to get a 5-star rating
We’ve created a checklist of everything you should do before a ride to get that 5-star rating.

One of the easiest ways to avoid a negative review is to be at the pickup destination on time. But being late can sometimes feel like it is out of your control, especially when dealing with traffic.
We’ve found the best way to get to your pickup on time and get a 5-star service rating is to plan ahead.
Here’s a checklist of the things to do before every ride to secure that 5-star rating.

Dress professionally
Blacklane offers an uncompromising level of service and our chauffeur’s appearance reflects this. That’s why we maintain a strict dress code at all times. Always make sure you’re wearing a black or dark suit, white shirt, black tie (optional for women), and polished leather shoes.
Check flight information
For airport pickups, always remember to track the flight and adjust the pickup time when necessary. Remember to account for any time the guest has requested between landing and pickup. Confirm their arrival terminal before starting the journey.
Sanitize the vehicle
Make sure you disinfect all commonly touched surfaces in the vehicle before every new ride. This includes the steering wheel, seat belts, belt locks, doors, and luggage compartment handle.
Bottled water
Always provide an unopened water bottle for your guests. Make sure the bottle is disinfected and place it in the side door compartment before the ride starts.
Check from the backseat
In order to make sure you have not missed anything, sit in the backseat of your vehicle to make sure everything looks up to standard from your guest’s point of view.
Accommodate special requests
Always make sure you have accommodated any special requests your guest might have stated in their booking details.
Plan route to and from pick up destination
Take the time to look up any traffic disruptions and carefully plan your route to both the pickup and drop of destinations. This is the best way to make sure you’re on time to provide the best possible service.
To help you remember these points, we’ve created a downloadable checklist for you to store on your smartphone and use before every ride.
