A 2025 Guide to Berlin BER Airport

Estimated reading time: 9 minutes

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the main international gateway to Germany’s capital and the surrounding state of Brandenburg. Located in Schönefeld, just south of Berlin, it serves as a hub for easyJet, Ryanair, Eurowings, Condor, and Sundair, offering a wide range of connections across Europe and beyond.

Opened in 2020, BER replaced the city's former airports, Tempelhof, Tegel, and the old Schönefeld, bringing all commercial air traffic under one modern roof. Today, it operates primarily short- and medium-haul flights to key business and leisure destinations, with a growing number of long-haul connections.

Located about 30 minutes from the city center by train, BER is easy to reach and simple to navigate, with all operations running from Terminals 1 and 2, which are connected by a short walk.

With the help of this guide and the official Berlin Airport Map you’ll find everything you need to navigate the airport efficiently.
