SAN FRANCISCO – CONCUR FUSION 2015 – 1 April 2015 – Global professional driver service Blacklane today announced a partnership with Concur, the world's leading provider of spend management solutions and services, to publish an e-receipt solution in the Concur App Center. As a result, in select cities, business travelers will be able to more efficiently schedule professional drivers around the world at rates considerably lower than traditional limousine and chauffeur services.
Travelers and organizations gain multiple cost, time and personnel benefits.
Ease of booking. Travelers book affordable rides with licensed and insured drivers as easily as they reserve flights and hotels in the Concur system. Concur customers have complete access to Blacklane’s inventory spanning 50 countries and 250 airports.
Low prices. Concur customers receive rates which are a fraction of legacy limousine service prices, approaching the costs of local taxi fares.
Cost certainty. Blacklane’s quoted rates are all-inclusive (e.g. taxes, tolls and tip) and are guaranteed at the time of booking. All rides also cover wait time, including one hour for airport arrivals. Blacklane even adjusts airport pickup times based on automated flight tracking and 24/7 customer care to eliminate charges for unnecessary wait time.
Efficient expense management. Blacklane automatically processes payment after rides and sends receipts to Concur’s expense management system, eliminating the need for manual submission of receipts.
Employee safety. Drivers are selected according to Blacklane’s stringent guidelines, including licensing and insurance according to local regulations. Further, Blacklane provides full duty of care for all customers. The company provides real-time service control for tens of thousands of quality cars. Each passenger receives the driver name and mobile number an hour prior to pick-up by email and text message, as well as email and text notifications when the driver arrives. Drivers then greet travelers with personalized pick-up signs. Third parties can also receive driver contact information.
“Corporate travelers are often left to figure out the first and last miles of their trips on their own, losing time and money before, during and after their journeys,” said Jens Wohltorf, co-founder and CEO of Blacklane. “Concur’s global customer base and history of innovation makes it an ideal partner for Blacklane. Together, we will deliver the same efficiency and familiarity of scheduling and expensing professional driver services as travelers are accustomed to for flights and hotels.”
The integration will be live later this calendar year. Rides will be available in the following vehicle categories:
Economy Class, in select markets (e.g. Toyota Camry and Honda Accord)
Business Class (e.g. Mercedes E-Class and Cadillac DTS)
Business Van/SUV (e.g. Mercedes V-Class and Chevrolet Suburban)
First Class (e.g. Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series)
