How much is a shuttle from Miami Airport?

There is no free shuttle from Miami Airport. While Miami has the Metromover, a free train service which services a lot of popular hotspots in the city, you will have to briefly change to a paid service to get to Downtown or other central locations.

You can find the Metromover station on the third level of the airport where you can take a 4-minute train to the Airport's central transportation area (named the Miami Intermodel Center) then you can take the Metrorail Orange Line ($2.25 per person, per trip) to any location and then transfer onto the free Metromover.

Is pre-booking a Miami Airport transfer better than getting taxi?

There are lots of benefits to pre-booking a ride than hailing a taxi or using a standard ride-hailing app.

  • No queuing in taxi lines

  • No surge charging or waiting if there are lots of people looking for a ride.

  • No extra charges for bulky luggage.

  • Your private chauffeur will meet you at Arrivals and help you with your luggage.

How do I get from Miami Airport to the Cruise Port?

Miami Cruise Port is only 8 miles from MIA at 1015 N. America Way, Miami, Florida 33132. If you take Dolphin Expressway it should take between 15 minutes, although this road can get very busy so could take closer to 30 minutes. The Dolphin Expressway is also a toll road and costs around $2 to cross, you can get to the Cruise Port without incurring the toll but it will take 30-45 minutes traffic permitting.

Many Cruise providers will put on a shuttle from the airport but it can mean waiting for other passengers and while some a free, others are quite pricy per head. A private airport transfer is your safest bet, it ensures that you'll get to your destination on time and services like Blacklane include all tips, tolls, and luggage fees in the final price. No waiting in taxi queues or falling victim to surge pricing!
