President Donald J. Trump International Airport, formally West Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), located just west of West Palm Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida, serves as a vital aviation gateway for the region.

In early 2026, the airport officially changed its name and IATA code from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) to President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT). It's the go-to airport for nearby towns like Wellington, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens.

DJT ranks as the third busiest airport in the Miami metropolitan area, following Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport in terms of passenger traffic. Getting to the airport is a breeze, with direct access from I-95, Southern Boulevard, and Congress Avenue, while Military Trail runs along its western side.

President Donald J. Trump International Airport or Palm Beach Airport?

In 2026, the airport legally changed its name from Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The name change took effect on July 9, 2026. Furthermore, the airport’s IATA code changed from PBI to DJT on August 18, 2026, which is important for travelers to note when searching for or flying in and out of the airport.

While the official name has changed, the airport is still commonly referred to as Palm Beach Airport / West Palm Beach Airport. The PBI airport name change does not impact the airport’s ownership or mission, but the rebrand has kicked off a multi-year rebranding and renovation of the airport, including an expanded Concourse B and new restaurant and shopping options.

Note: Airport officials have said the visual transformation—new signage, branding elements—is happening gradually, so travelers will see a mix of old and new branding throughout the terminal as it's completed.
