The Miami F1 Grand Prix is one of the newest and most glamorous races in the Formula 1 calendar. The event is held at the purpose-built Miami International Autodrome around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins. Known for celebrity attendees and a Super Bowl-like atmosphere, Miami F1 is one of the world’s most luxurious sporting events, with VIP hospitality suites, beach-club style viewing areas, and live music performances across the 3-day event. If you plan to attend this year’s Miami F1 Grand Prix, this is your ultimate survival guide to everything you need to know, from race-day logistics to the top hotels in Miami to book.

Know before you go: Race logistics
Dates and schedule: The next Miami F1 Grand Prix will take place between May 1–3, 2026. The event consists of practice, qualifying, and a Sprint race, all culminating in the main Grand Prix on Sunday, May 3.
Closest airport to the Miami Grand Prix: The closest airport to the track is the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF), just 10 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium. This airport however tends to be used more for private aviation, and not general use. Most international visitors to the city will land at Miami International Airport (MIA), which lies roughly 20 minutes from the Hard Rock Stadium. Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is a 25-minute car ride from the circuit.
Road closures and traffic disruptions: Over race weekend, there are a handful of road closures which can make traveling to and from the Hard Rock Stadium difficult. There’s also higher-than-normal traffic volume. Stay up-to-date on road closures through the official Miami F1 website.
Where is the Miami F1 track?
Address: 347 Don Shula Dr Suite 102, Miami Gardens, FL 33056, United States.
The Miami F1 track is located in Miami Gardens, and loops around the Miami Dolphin’s Hard Rock Stadium. Named the Miami International Autodrome, a temporary circuit was designed and built specifically for the event. The circuit is then dismantled shortly after the event is over.
How to get to the F1 Miami Grand Prix
There are many ways to access the F1 Miami Grand Prix, both by public transportation and private transfer.
Tips: Miami Grand Prix weekend draws big crowds and many services (parking passes, trains) will sell out. Traffic will be intense (especially on the final day) so plan your travel accordingly.
Travel by train: Take the Brightline inter-city train to Aventura Station from Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami Central. From Aventura, free race-weekend shuttle buses connect you to the circuit (drop-off at Lot 16, short walk to Gate 3).
The Tri-Rail commuter train also runs from areas like Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach to Golden Glades Station. From Golden Glades, you can either walk, take a bus, or use a free shuttle to the circuit.
Pros: Direct, easy, and you don’t need to worry about parking.
Cons: Trains will be very busy around this time, especially the closer you get to the circuit.
Travel by metro: You can also use Miami’s Metrorail to reach central stations like Earlington Heights, Brownsville, or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. From there, you can catch Metrobus Route 297 (or similar) toward the stadium area.
Pros: A budget-friendly way to travel to the venue, alongside locals and F1 fans.
Cons: The Metro will also be very crowded on race weekend, and be prepared to wait some time for an available bus.
Travel by helicopter: You can book a helicopter transfer direct from Miami International (MIA), Opa Locka (OPF), Fort Lauderdale (FLL). HeliFlite is the official partner of the Miami F1, and can speed you from the airport to the circuit in minutes.
Pros: Unmatched speed and convenience from the airport, plus fantastic views.
Cons: Limited availability, on the pricier side.
Travel by private transfer: Arrive in style and comfort by booking a Blacklane chauffeur to get you directly from your hotel (or from the airport) to the Autodrome on race day. Blacklane also offers an hourly chauffeur service, so you have the flexibility to move around at your own pace as needed on race weekend.
Pros: Professional chauffeurs help travelers move efficiently amid road closures and crowds.
Cons: Once you’ve taken a ride with Blacklane, you won’t want to travel any other way. Note: You may still need to take one of the free F1 Miami shuttles to the track from Lot 16.
Miami Grand Prix tickets: Where should you sit?
Choosing the perfect spot to watch the world’s greatest racers hurtle around the track is key to getting the most out of your Miami F1 experience.
Start/Finish Line (Main Grandstand)
For the classic F1 experience, try and book the Main Grandstand. Here you’ll enjoy premium seats with direct views over the grid formation, pit stops, and start/finish line. It’s the best spot for celebrity watching and post-qualifying interviews. Shade here is limited, so come prepared if you’re seated in the lower rows.
Unlike other F1 tracks, the podium ceremony is not located at the Main Grandstand. Instead, it takes place at the opposite end of Hard Rock Stadium, so fans in the Main Grandstand will need to watch it on the screen.

For Formula 1 fans, turn 1 and turn 18 are top picks for racing action.
Turn 1 Grandstand
For racing fans, this is the best spot to feel the thrill of the sport. From here you can see the start/finish and the run into Turn 1. This is a heavy braking zone, meaning that there’s a higher chance of overtakes, incidents, and acceleration into turns 2 and 3. This Grandstand is also near the North Campus, close to fan zones and food.
Turn 18 Grandstand
Known as the “action zone,” Turn 18 is where some of the most dramatic F1 action takes place. Turn 18 comes at the end of a long straight, where cars slow and battles to pass each other out take place. The atmosphere here is electric, but you won’t get to see the start grid or pits.
Marina Grandstand
Located by the yacht marina and party areas, the Marina Grandstand overlooks Turns 6 to 8. Watch the cars as they quickly race as you enjoy a more social, party atmosphere.
Beach Grandstands (Turns 11–13)
Located at Turns 11 to 13, the Beach Grandstand offers a lower-cost experience. The area is slightly isolated from the main stadium area and offers limited views of the track. That said, it’s close to the Hard Rock Beach Club with pools and concerts.
Hospitality clubs: The ultimate F1 VIP experience
The most premium / VIP experiences at the Miami Grand Prix are not normal grandstands — they’re hospitality clubs with private lounges, gourmet dining, and sometimes access behind the scenes.
The Paddock Club
If money is no object, then this is where you’ll want to be. The Paddock Club is the most prestigious ticket you can normally buy, costing between $10,000-15,000+ per person for the weekend. You will be seated directly above the F1 team garages and pit lane with panoramic views of the start/finish straight.
With this ticket you’ll enjoy the weekend from a climate-controlled luxury suite with terraces overlooking the track, gourmet food and open bar, and pit lane walks and behind-the-scenes access.
The 72 Club
The 72 Club is one of the most luxurious trackside clubs available at the Miami F1 Grand Prix. For roughly $8,000-$12,000+ for the weekend, you will enjoy a prime view of the straightaway and podium area, great food and drink, and a VIP lounge with shaded outdoor terrace.
Vista Club
With a view overlooking the faced-paced and exciting overtaking zone on Turn 1, the Vista Club offers an Indoor air-conditioned lounge, balcony overlooking Turn 1 and pit lane exit, and buffet dining with drinks included. For the full weekend, expect to pay between $4,000-$6,000.
What to wear to F1 Miami
Most race fans dress stylish, but casual, with the key being to balance Miami style with hot weather and lots of walking. Most fans wear F1 team polo, jersey, or T-shirt with lightweight shorts or linen pants. Comfortable sneakers or stylish trainers are recommended, along with a baseball cap or bucket hat. Miami in May is hot and humid, so breathable fabrics like cotton or linen work best. If you’re in VIP hospitality or the Paddock Club, the dress code is smart casual or resort chic.
Where should you stay for the Miami Grand Prix?
To make your visit to the Miami F1 Grand Prix a one-of-a-kind experience, booking the right hotel is imperative. Miami is packed with fantastic places to stay, with access to the F1 track alongside the city’s glorious beaches and the iconic Ocean Drive.
JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa
Just 15 minutes from the circuit, the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry has everything you need for the perfect stay. Alongside its comfortable and spacious rooms, the complex also features a Luxury golf resort with a huge spa and water park, which is great for families. It also features multiple high-end restaurants and nightlife directly on the property.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood
Known for its iconic guitar-shaped tower, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel is close to the race and the after-party. Featuring a massive casino, celebrity restaurants, a luxury spa, pool lagoons, and more, this hotel glitters all weekend and is located just 20 minutes from the track.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
To combine a beachfront stay with the thrills of the Miami Grand Prix, opt for the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort. It’s popular with celebrities and F1 drivers, and every suit comes with its own Butler service for the ultimate convenience. 30 minutes from the track, the resort lies opposite Bal Harbour and visitors can enjoy huge oceanfront suites with private terraces.
If you have booked one of the official F1 hospitality packages, there is a chance you will be staying at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. 40 minutes from the action, the hotel is one of Miami’s most iconic luxury resorts, offering Michelin dining, celebrity parties, and an F1 social scene.

Miami F1: Tips for race day
You’ve chosen your seats, you’ve booked the hotel, and you’ve arranged your Blacklane chauffeur to pick you up from the airport—you’re ready for race day. However, if it’s your first time at the Miami Grand Prix, here are some things you should keep in mind over the weekend.
Leave more time than you think: With over 200,000 attendees, the Miami Grand Prix is busy and crowded, and traveling to and from the Hard Rock Stadium will take time—no matter which mode of transportation you choose.
Prepare for the heat: Miami in May is hot and humid, often reaching daytime air temperatures in the mid-80s°F (30°C). Come prepared, especially if you’re seated in a Grandstand without shade. Make sure you pack sunscreen, a hat, and keep hydrated throughout the day.
Download the apps: The Miami F1 Grand Prix has two official apps to keep you in the loop over the weekend. The Formula 1 app provides real-time race data, live timing, news, and exclusive content for fans following the global racing series. The F1 Miami Grand Prix app is the official mobile application for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, offering interactive maps, schedules, ticket management, and exclusive content for attendees and remote fans.
Explore the fan zones and events: The Miami Grand Prix has more than just the fastest cars on Earth—it’s also an opportunity for F1 fans to get together and enjoy the party. Not only will you see your favorite F1 drivers, but the event hosts live concerts, celebrity chef food stands, and F1 simulators and interactive exhibits.
Beyond the track: Why visit Miami?
For luxury travelers, Miami is a premium destination. Think pristine beaches, high-end shopping, and a world-famous nightlife. It’s where the celebrities in their super yachts like to hang out, and home to Michelin-level dining and exclusive beach clubs.
Miami also hosts some of the most important events in art, sport, and culture—such as Miami Grand Prix and Art Basel Miami Beach. If you’re wondering where to stay, Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles often attract billionaires and quieter luxury travelers, while South Beach attracts fashion and nightlife crowds. Beaches in Miami are spectacular, and no visit to the Magic City would be complete without seeing the iconic South Beach or relaxing at the peaceful Bal Harbour Beach.
If you want to explore the city’s fantastic food scene, make sure you do your research and book in advance—reservations during big events are non-negotiable, especially in spots like L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami and COTE Miami.
When it comes to getting around Miami, there’s no better way than with a Blacklane chauffeur. Whether you’re heading to dinner or need to get back to your hotel after a long day at the Miami F1 Grand Prix, your Blacklane car service will make sure you get to where you need to go with comfort, style, and ease.
